I drove through the night from Scotland, arriving in darkness at the local patch at 03:40. It was well worth it as an excellent morning was had with new-in female Garganey, stunning male Turnstone, 1st summer Bar-tailed Godwit in company with three Icelandic Black-tailed Godwit, and another photographic opportunity with a Grasshopper Warbler.
